Mag 38: A name

Image via Magpie Tales

a name
fading in the
lifeless crypt
parched tears
merged with the earth
a gentle leap
from one life
to another
leaving the soulful
and loved ones
weeping behind

Your words are beautiful ...a gentle leap from one life to another. Beautiful.

This was so moving. "A gentle leap from one life to another" -- I hope so!

So few words and such a strong statement straight to the heart. "Parched tears / merged with the earth"

Oh, yes, "a gentle leap... leaving the soulful and loved ones behind" makes it sound worse for the ones left behind, which is what I always suspected.

I love the image of tears merging with the earth. Lovely.

it's been said, but yes, it's beautiful and moving... death is hard on those left behind, for the one who leaves, "a gentle leap" - I like that.

I rather like the idea of moving, gently from one life to another.
