Mag #48: Breaking my heart

Image via Magpie Tales

One more night of your departure..
breaking my heart.

As I see the soft wind in motion,
wrenching my soul's deepest emotion,
a night without your face's reflection,
breaking my heart.

Fantasies wild, your touch missing,
the gleam in your eyes while kissing,
moments bygone are worth cherishing,
this loneliness in your absence
breaking my heart.

The moon fading in the night so dark,
whereas my musings seek a place to embark,
fire blazing in agony, do you hark?
This long night of distress
breaking my heart.

Sadness emanates from the words above...
Nothing hurts more than the pain of love...

Well written!

How utterly SAD! I know that love hurts but this seems hopeless. Great writing, well done.

The loss of someone's love felt so deeply here.

Its loveliness is as powerful as the sadness that builds up.

Pain and longing emanate, touching the heart with tenderness, contrasting the empty lone hours.

This really touches the heart, Priyanka. I once wrote a poem such as this, for a long ago love. I miss him to this day and your poem triggered so many memories and I had to fight back tears.

Agony night after night...wrenches soul's deepest emotions. Parting of the beloved is heart breaking. This emotion is powerfully translated into letters. I laud your crafts(wo)manship.
